Booster Sessions: Online Sessions for Job Seekers

Pathways is thrilled to offer FREE online sessions to assist job seekers in finding and keeping employment. Everyone is welcome, please join us on Zoom! You do not need a camera to participate! Each session is approximately 45 – 60 minutes long.

Writing a Better Cover Letter (January 13, 1:00pm)

Everyone has one or two interview questions that they find tough to answer well. Join us for this Booster Session where we will discuss the tough questions, what the employer is really asking when they ask those questions, and the best ways to answer them to maximize your chances of success in the interview. We will also discuss the kinds of questions you should ask an employer in an interview. Bring your toughest question to discuss!

Financial Wellness – Special Guest Speaker (February 10, 1:00pm)

Chester Szypula from BDO Canada will join us to discuss financial wellness. Among other topics, Chester will teach us about the cost of borrowing, how much does it really cost to take out a loan or carry a balance on a credit card? He will also talk about fraud awareness and discuss what you need to know about government assistance programs during the pandemic and income tax.

The transition from Ontario Works to receiving income from a job can be tricky in lots of ways, including learning how to budget your new paycheque.
