Darcy’s Story: My First Car in 14 Years

July 31, 2018 by

“You have to tell yourself there’s nothing you can’t do”

This is my first car in 14 years. It’s good to know I have it. To know I can go out in the country driving if I want… that I can drive back and forth to work.”

I’ve never had any other job in the past 25 years where I’ve made this much money. I have a great boss, who is always telling me that I’ve done a great job…  I am happy.

Being on welfare is just an existence, and barely that. You have little money and that’s it. Now I am saving to move into a larger apartment.

MY BIGGEST TAKEAWAY FROM THE LAST FEW YEARS:

• You have to change your attitude and you have to go with the flow
• Your job is a learning process and you have to adapt to any situation.
• You have to care about your job to do a good job – you can’t just do it for money.

Darcy Graduated from the light Industrial Training Program in Fall 2016
